Wedding and Event Transportation on St. Thomas
A wedding on the islands has more moving parts than any other trip. GrandArrival is the transportation that keeps the day unhurried, from the ceremony arrival to the last guest shuttle.
A wedding on St. Thomas has more moving parts than any other kind of trip: the couple, the wedding party, the officiant, the photographer, and guests scattered across three resorts, all on a schedule that has to hold. GrandArrival is the private wedding and event transportation that makes the day feel unhurried. A black GMC Yukon XL Denali for the arrival, an air conditioned van for parents and grandparents, and an open air safari bus for the group shuttle. Owner led, local, and quiet in the moments that matter.
What is included
Wedding and event transportation includes a written schedule agreed with the couple or planner, on time arrivals at each stop, help with the dress and any decor moving between locations, and coordinated multi vehicle plans drawn from our fleet, including the black GMC Yukon XL Denali. Bottled water in every vehicle. A calm hand when the schedule slips, which it always does a little.
Not included: officiant, photographer, floral, catering, ferry tickets, or venue fees. We are the transportation piece. We are happy to work alongside your planner, or to handle the transport plan directly if you do not have one.
How booking works
Reach out as early as you can for wedding dates, especially in the peak season from December through April.
- Call or text +1 (340) 227 7903, or email [email protected] with your date, ceremony and reception venues, and the number of guests.
- Walk through the schedule with us: bridal party arrival, guest shuttle windows, exit vehicle, and any next day airport transfers.
- Confirm the vehicle mix and receive a written plan and quoted rate.
No deposit is required. We hold the date on trust and confirm final headcounts and timings the week of the event. Pay by card or cash before, during, or after the event, and give us 24 hours notice for any change or cancellation.
Rates
Wedding and event rates are quoted per plan because every wedding is different. A ceremony arrival in the Yukon Denali with a short shuttle window is priced very differently from a full day multi vehicle package with a next day airport run for the wedding party. Send us the venues and the headcount and we will send a clear number.
Local knowledge
We drive weddings at venues across St. Thomas and St. John. A few notes worth planning around:
- East End resorts and villa venues. The drive from Cyril E. King Airport crosses the whole island, so build real time into the schedule. For a ceremony at a Great Bay resort or a private East End villa, we recommend leaving the bridal suite with time to spare in peak season.
- St. John venues. Any wedding on St. John involves the ferry, and we plan around St. John ferry timing and logistics from the first draft of the schedule. Plan to board a boat well before ceremony time, more if guests are meeting on the St. John side. Formalwear on the passenger ferry is standard on Saturdays and totally fine.
- Sunset ceremonies. Late afternoon light in the winter months is generous but short, and guests underestimate how quickly the sun drops. We build the schedule around the light, not the clock.
- Guest shuttles. For guests staying across two or three resorts, an open air safari bus loop is often more efficient and more festive than a string of separate cars.
Many couples also add private airport transfers for the wedding party on either side of the weekend. The best weddings are the ones where the transportation goes unnoticed. That is the goal.
Good to know
How far in advance should we book wedding transportation?
As early as possible. Peak season dates from December through April fill quickly. Send us your date the moment your venue is confirmed and we will hold it.
Can you handle guest shuttles between resorts?
Yes. The open air safari bus and the air conditioned executive van are both good options for guest shuttles. We build a loop schedule so guests know exactly when to be at the lobby.
Do you decorate the vehicles?
We can accommodate small decor like a ribbon or a sign if the couple or planner brings it. We do not source floral or decor ourselves.
Can the couple arrive at the ceremony in the black Yukon Denali?
Yes. The GMC Yukon XL Denali is our signature arrival vehicle and is well suited to ceremony arrivals. We can hold it at the venue for photos and the getaway.
What if the ceremony is on St. John?
We coordinate the full plan across the ferry. We drive everyone to Red Hook, guests board the ferry, and a ground plan on the St. John side moves the party to the venue. Ferry tickets are separate from our rate.
What is the plan for rain?
St. Thomas rain is usually short and passes. We keep umbrellas in the vehicles, adjust the timing when we can, and coordinate with the planner or venue on covered arrival paths.
Do you offer next day airport transfers for the wedding party?
Yes. Many couples add next day airport transfers so the wedding party leaves without stress. We schedule those the same week and confirm flight numbers the night before.
Send your date, venues, and headcount to +1 (340) 227 7903 or [email protected], and a written plan will be back in your inbox within a day.
